I’m doing it. I’m making the switch from a toxin-filled cleaning cabinet to an eco-friendly one. I’m trying to find the right eco-friendly household cleaners with the same ability to clean and smell as fresh as traditional household cleaners. But, it’s not as easy as I thought it would be. I’ve tried many different cleaners that had sworn to be “safe,” so I had to do my homework when I came across Method cleaning products. This is what I found during my Method cleaning products review.
About Method Cleaning Products
Who owns Method?
Two innovative gentlemen who own this product, Adam Lowry and Eric Ryan, are the founders of this quick-growing, privately-owned company. These once roommates were victims of toxic cleaning products and knew that they needed to develop something good for themselves and the planet.
That is when the Method cleaning product line was born. Since Method cleaning’s birth, it has turned into a nationally known company that delivers superior cleaning abilities.
Are Method products natural?
Yes, they have a healthy belief system that if it isn’t good for the environment, then it is not good enough to be in our ingredient lineup. It must be safe for people, pets, and the planet.
All of their ingredients are naturally derived and biodegradable. Their cleaning products have received a “C” from the EWG.
Are Method cleaning products worth it?
In my Method cleaning review, I used this cleaner in various “dirty” areas, from my kitchen to my bathroom and what I found was good!
In my bathroom, I have copper sinks, which are beautiful but not always easy to clean. They need something gentle enough not to ruin their finish but tough enough to get the toothpaste and soap build-up off. It worked great.
Honestly, I am a huge fan of Mrs. Meyer’s cleaning, which was more than comparable. I have impossible white countertops in my kitchen. They are so challenging to keep clean.
So, when my children decided to make kool-aide, I was nervous I would need a harsh stain-fighting bleach to remove the horrible red mess, but I did not. Method’s all-purpose cleaner spray got the job done just as well as any bleach cleaner would have.

Other Method Cleaning Products
Below are some other popular Method cleaning products.
Method Squirt + Mop Wood Floor Cleaner
This cleaner is excellent. I have all hardwood floors in my house. Not only does it get the spaghetti sauce off the floor after a dinner shift, but it also removes the water stains in the front entryway. It is easy to use and has a beautiful almond scent.

Method Dish Soap
This dish soap is fantastic. It has the best variety of scents. All of them are great, honestly. I am teaching my middle daughter how to cook and let’s just say we’ve had some “soaker” pans. But with the great scent and the decent cleaning capabilities, Method Dish Soap has gotten the job done for us. It comes in a conveniently sized bottle that looks nice on the counter with a pump system that works great.

Method Glass + Surface Cleaner
Ok, so I love to clean my appliances, everything from my fridge to my phone, laptop, and navigation system in my car. Method cleaning does a great job. I do not like to clean windows! This is an excellent chore for my kids, and I feel great knowing that they can help out around the house while scrubbing with a product free of harmful chemicals.

Method Bathroom Cleaner
All of the scents are potent and yummy, but I have to admit the eucalyptus mint is my favorite by far. I use this foaming cleaner on my granite countertops in my bathroom, my travertine shower, and my toilet bowl. It is so versatile and not only leaves my surfaces clean but also smelling amazingly fresh and clean.

Method Cleaning Products Lawsuit
As unfortunate as it is, lawsuits happen, and things come up where ingredients are sometimes questioned and come to questioning, such as Method Cleaning Products.
In this class action lawsuit, people versus the method cleaning product claim that some of the Method cleaning ingredients are not non-toxic and contain harmful synthetic ingredients.
The main issue here is that it usually comes down to money and the fact that Method is charging “natural product prices: and the claim that there are synthetics in their product ingredients makes them a toxic company.
They are alleging that at least 13 of the elements in their line contain unnatural synthetic properties. This case is not closed, and no verdict has been met. https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/lawsuit-news/343924-method-class-action-alleges-cleaners-not-natural-non-toxic/
Method All-Purpose Clean vs. Better Life
Method cleaning products have been around longer than Better Life cleaning products. However, I believe that sometimes things can get better with age. Method Cleaning offers an abundant amount of cleaning products, from toilet bowl cleaners to hardwood cleaners. Their scents are one thing that draws me to this product. There is nothing better than a good-smelling room.
See our Better Life Cleaner Review for more details.
Method All-Purpose Clean vs. Ecos
Ecos Cleaners received a C on their rating from the EWG. Method cleaners also received a C on their product. I believe these are both comparable. While again, when looking for various products from the same line, Method is superior in this department.
See our Ecos Laundry Detergent Review for more details.
Method All-Purpose Clean vs. Nellie’s Laundry Soda
While Nellie’s laundry soda is unique in its own right, it too offers a great product. However, when it comes to the product lineup, I have to go with Method. I like knowing all of my product s are coming from the same great line, and I don’t have to do a lot of work knowing what is in my cleaning cupboard.
See this Nellie’s Laundry Soda Review for more about them.
Method All-Purpose Clean vs. Force of Nature
I have recently tried the force of nature cleaning line, and I will say I liked this product. But to be honest, it was kind of a pain in the butt to make. Yes, it offers a spotlessly clean finish and is natural and better for our planet, but the shelf life is not excellent.
It only lasts for two weeks and does not carry as much of a cleaning punch when it comes to fragrance. You can add essential oils; however, it changes the Ph of the cleaner and is not recommended. Overall the ability to purchase in the store and not order online is a win for me.
See our Force of Nature review for all of the details on this company.
